Driving through on 64 and stopped for lunch. Very nice folks working there. Not sure how they manage such a huge menu, but they do and they do it well. Wife had grilled cheese with a tomato and the garlic chive fries. Excellent. I had a pork steak, smothered in gravy with dumplings and sauerkraut. It was so, so good! Prices are very low too, Going to eat here every time I’m nearby.

We went there for lunch on a weekday. It wasn't busy so we got a table right away. The menu has a lot of options and there are daily specials. Prices are extremely reasonable. Nice portions and everything we had was great. We even got soup to go. Fast service. We would definitely go there again.

Very much a hometown cafe. Very attractive & clean. Value is very good with many, many, many entrees under $10.⁰⁰. Menu photos as of July 2024. I very rarely give 5 stars. This cafe really deserves it. I would definitely come back. Breakfast served all day except Friday. Bathrooms are large, clean, and HC accessible.

We were tourists in town and were pleasantly surprised. We found our meal to be good tasting at a great value. Service was prompt and friendly. There was only one surprise. When we received our dinner check tax was already a day figured in but when we handled the bill at the register it was higher. Their credit card processor charges a fee and that was automaticaly being passed on to us. I would have like to know that before hand otherwise I would have paid cash. Once again, overall, great experience and good food.

Decided to treat myself to a hot meal after a night of rain while camping at Brunet Island State Park. Sam’s Place is THE place to have a lovingly prepared, delicious meal. The chicken and dumpling soup was homemade and the chicken was shredded white and dark meat. It was perfect. I ordered a burger and fries and everything came out hot. The burger was huge and the fries crispy. The quality was great and each and every employee took the time to chat with me, both the waitstaff and kitchen staff. Very friendly atmosphere with employees who want their customers to have a great meal. I recommended

I love it here. One of my favorite places to go. No matter what you order it tastes amazing and I especially love their chicken and the prices are very reasonable. The meal sizes are big and the size of the chicken is also big. Great place and I highly recommend it.
